New Data Points Support December's Optimism

As Laura pointed out, December had the best market run since 1991. The economic data that has come out the past two days show that the domestic economy continues to pull out of its deleveraging tailspin brought on by the banking crisis.

in November, and the December ISM index rose from 56.6 to 57, the strongest growth in seven months.  Another piece of news that may forecast better news for employment this year is the decline in office vacancy rates from a seventeen year high.  Office rents also rose 0.2% in the fourth quarter.
