According to this research report from Grubb & Ellis, San Antonio’s office leasing market experienced positive absorption of 113,583 square feet in the first quarter.  This is the third quarter in a row of positive absorption, and the fourth quarter in a row that the vacancy rate fell.  However, there is still 4.5 million square feet of vacant office space spread around the city, and the overall vacancy rate is at 18.1%.  There is a lot more detail in the report.

I got the link to the report from the Real Estate Center at the Mays Business School at Texas A&M University at College Station.  If you are interested, you can sign up for a twice weekly briefing from them on Texas real estate news.  The sign up is on the upper left hand corner of the website.
