Wealth and Complacency in Europe

The partners here at Crossvault have been debating the likelihood of a recession in Europe which would then spill over to the United States, where we have had some growth, albeit very slow. In today’s “Wall Street Journal” the “Notable Quotable” quotation is from historian
Niall Ferguson, the title of which is “As Europe’s wealth has grown, its military prowess has shrunk, along with its self-belief.”

I have decided to link the short article here because of the implications now, and in the future, for our economy and our society.
