When Politics Outweighs a Cure

A few days ago the “Wall Street Journal” published an editorial in defense of pharmaceutical and biotech companies that develop life saving drugs. The “WSJ” was defending these companies against the recent onslaught of criticism by politicians, many of whom are currently running for office. The gist of the article states that “You can’t make medical progress by punishing medical advances.” We would ask our readers to check out this opinion piece and decide for themselves. I for one am grateful that American companies are devoting themselves to finding cures and treatments for some of the worst and most pervasive diseases, and to saving and improving lives in the United States and around the globe.
