Harvey Golub's Response to Warren Buffett

I thought that thishit a lot of the points that have bothered many Americans about the debate over reducing the deficit.  The key point that I have struggled with is my distrust of both sides of the aisle to stop wasting money on bad programs or payola to special interest groups.  From the linked article:

What gets me most upset is two other things about this argument: the unfair way
taxes are collected, and the violation of the implicit social contract between
me and my government that my taxes will be spent—effectively and efficiently—on
purposes that support the general needs of the country. Before you call me
greedy, make sure you operate fairly on both fronts.
