What Small Business Needs Today

For much of the recession and recovery, we have read and heard that credit conditions are tight, loans are hard to come by, and small businesses are struggling because banks won’t lend.

According to the National Federation of Independent Business, owners are feeling depressed.  However, they are not feeling negative about the lack of credit availability, but rather the weakness of their sales.  Only 4% cited lack of credit availability as their top concern.

What small business needs today are customers, sales, and some certainty on the economy and the regulatory environment.  Sadly, the policies coming out of Washington are focused on improving credit conditions or giving businesses incentives to spend.
