With the ten year Treasury yield hovering around 2.0%, I have been checking the rates on refinancing our mortgage. The fifteen year rate on conforming loan amounts at Wells Fargo has gotten as low as 3.25% with a point. I would like to get 3.0%, but the ten year Treasury would probably have to get to 1.75% for that to occur. If you didn’t refinance the last time around, keep a close eye on the daily rates. Unfortunately, many Americans have not been able to refinance because they are underwater on their mortgage.
